We can't allow paddlers to just extend their rental for a few reasons. Most renters will choose a 1.5 hour rental, which allows them time to get out on the Lake for about 30 minutes before heading back. Rentals are restricted to the Rocky River if conditions on the Lake exceed winds of 10 knots from the west, northwest, north, northeast, or east, waves greater than 2ft, or offshore winds (south) exceeding 15 knots.Īll kayakers are required to participate in a safety briefing and review and agree to the 41° North safety guidelines in order to rent a kayak or SUP.
